BFF and Bayan EDGE Strengthen Connections for a Common Aspiration

Bayan Family of Foundations (BFF) and Bayan EDGE.mbs (EDGE) held a strategic planning and team building activity at Bakasyunan Resort and Conference Center in Iba, Zambales, last October 19-21, 2023. 

The three-day activity was intended to further strengthen the relationships among employees from both foundations who will collectively work as Bayan EDGE.mbs shifts to a diverse approach in building the nation from below. Further, the activity aimed at recognizing the pivotal role of employees from both foundations in the new chapter of Bayan EDGE.mbs.

The highlight of the first day was the presentation of the five-year business plan to Atty. German Voltaire Dante Castillejos Jr., Executive Director of Bayan Family of Foundation – Shares Services Unit. 

For the next five years, Bayan EDGE.mbs envisions itself to be the benchmark servicer of servicers. It will focus on internal changes, streamlining and recalibrating processes, targeting various markets, and adopting industry best practices.

On the second day, an awarding ceremony was conducted in honor of the outstanding participants of Social Enterprise Management Training and for those who completed the Check, Consult, and Coach (3Cs) of Microenterprise Development Training and Contact Center Services Training provided by Bayan Academy.

The employees' coordination, communication, decision-making, and collaboration skills were tested later the same day as they teamed up and competed against each other in the different physical and mental activities prepared for them. These activities were meant to promote a sense of solidarity and help boost employees' self-efficacy.

The third day was dedicated for employees to interact with each other to reignite genuine connection, rediscover commonalities on both personal and professional aspects, and re-establish camaraderie. This day was the culmination of the first team-building activity that employees from both foundations participated in face-to-face after the pandemic.

Through this program, BFF and EDGE employees gain valuable insights and perspectives of what lies ahead of EDGE, enabling them to re-establish and restrengthen connections as both foundations gear towards positive momentum, ushering in a new era.
