Charizze De Castro is a researcher, writer and curriculum designer with over 15 years of experience translating field-based research into actionable recommendations, strategic plans and learning systems. With roots in Development Communication from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (magna cum laude and college valedictorian) and Entrepreneurship  at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (silver medal awardee), she specializes in business and strategic planning; external assessment, labor market assessment and situation analysis; internal assessment, organizational development, action programming and evaluation and impact assessment; and education and capacity building program design and learning materials development.

Charizze has led various strategic research projects for institutions across public, private and development sectors, including the USAID, UNDP, IDRC Canada, eTrade Alliance, Save the Children, Sasakawa Peace Foundation, JPMorgan Chase Foundation, Citi Foundation and Meta. She has developed over 50 course modules, learning materials, case studies and other instructional programs. She has also co-created course curricula with domain experts, tailored to both grassroots, professional and academic learners, for institutions such as the Ateneo Graduate School of Business, Development Academy of the Philippines and Assumption College, among others. Charizze also contributed as case author in book publications, Social Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (Second Edition) and Deepening the Cooperative Identity.

Currently, Charizze  serves as a Senior Research Fellow, Institutional Marketing Director and Education Program Consultant at the Bayan Family of Foundations, and collaborates with CIA Bootleg InnovationDesign on brand and marketing strategy research. She also continues to contribute as writer and editor of publications for development institutions such as ISAAA and GIZ, as well as a business consultant for MSMEs.
