Prof Aries Patawaran

Prof Patawaran is an Associate Guru for the Master in Entrepreneurship Program for Social Enterprise Development at the Ateneo De Manila Graduate School of Business in Rockwell, Makati City (AGSB-Bayan) and also a Senior Fellow at the Bayan Society of Fellows (BSF). He was a faculty member of the University of the Philippines (UP) for more than two decades handing Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Strategic Marketing, Human Resource Planning & Brand Management courses. He is also a Trainor at the UN-ESCAP (APC ICT) focusing on Digital Transformation of Women (WIFI-DX Project) and was also the first Master Trainer and Assessor for META (FACEBOOK) for Business for the Phlippines (2016) which later on expanded to cover the Asia-Pacific.

He coached hundreds of college and graduate entrepreneurship students at the Asian Institute of Management’s (AIM) Master in Entrepreneurship program, DLSU-CSB and UP while training almost 5000 women entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs for Connected Women®, Philippine Commission for Women and Coca-Cola Philippines

For more than twenty five years, he has been a freelance management and training consultant. He assists and runs entrepreneurship, strategic planning, human resource and other marketing workshops for corporate clients, SMEs and Social Enterprises. Previous and current consultancy engagements include Rural Bank Association of the Philippines (RBAP), Citibank Foundation, RAMCAR Group of Companies (KFC and Philippine Batteries), Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), Coca-Cola Philippines, Microsoft Philippines, Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Bank of the Philippine Islands Foundation (BPI SINAG), Land Bank Foundation, ABS-CBN-Bayan Foundation, NEPO Center of Angeles City (Juan D Nepomuceno Group) and other respectable institutions.

Prior to joining the academe, he started his career in banking with HSBC Philippines' Corporate Banking Division handling Trade Finance. After finishing his graduate studies, he was appointed for a management position at All Asia Capital and Trust Corporation – Investment Research with food and beverage, construction and cement, and telecommunications industry as his area of concentration. His international banking exposure includes a stint at ANZ National Bank unit in Wellington, New Zealand and a Stocks Management position in Sydney, Australia. He also has various exposure in countryside banking as an Independent Director at the Bayanihan Bank of Quezon Province and a Training Consultant at Rural Bank Association of the Philippines (RBAP)

Prof Patawaran holds an undergraduate degree in business from De La Salle University and took his graduate studies in management at the University of the Philippines (D) and recently completed his Diploma in Human Resource Management at the Macquarie Education Group in Sydney Australia. A marathoner, he organized the TCS Clark Animo International Marathon, a world-certified marathon (WORLD ATHLETICS®)  that is participated by 10,000 runners at the Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines.
