Bayan Family of Foundations and Acted Forge Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Impact

On April 14, 2025, the Bayan Family of Foundations (BFF) formalized its partnership with Acted, a global humanitarian and development organization. Their shared goals? To build inclusive, sustainable futures anchored in empowered communities, multi-sector collaboration, and supportive ecosystems.

This partnership brings together decades of experience in social innovation, humanitarian aid, and sustainable development, offering a collaborative platform to deepen impact, expand reach, and enable lasting change across communities in the Philippines and beyond.

A Shared Vision for Empowered Communities

At the heart of this collaboration lies a shared commitment to empowering vulnerable communities and driving progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

  • Bayan Family of Foundations (BFF) has long advocated for inclusive growth through the development of social enterprises in the Philippines. As a key mover of the Philippine Social Enterprise Roadmap, BFF continues to lead efforts to strengthen the enabling ecosystem for SEs, promote cross-sector collaboration, and build communities of practice for social impact.
  • The international NGO Acted, whose reach spans 69 countries,  with direct ongoing operations in 40 countries, is known for delivering humanitarian assistance in the most vulnerable and hard-to-reach areas through longer-term livelihood reconstruction and  sustainable interventions. In the Philippines, Acted plays a vital role in supporting long-term development solutions and environmental resilience.

Together, both organizations bring a multi-sector approach to the table—blending policy advocacy, grassroots innovation, humanitarian response, and ecosystem-building to catalyze collective action.

Synergy Through the 3ZERO House

This partnership is enriched by Acted’s co-management of the 3ZERO House, a collaborative space and ecosystem that works through multi-stakeholder partnerships, innovations, and solutions to pursue the SDGs and a 3ZERO world:

  • Zero Exclusion
  • Zero Carbon
  • Zero Poverty

The 3ZERO House is both a physical space and a community where organizations, social enterprises, and innovators can co-create sustainable solutions that respond to local and global challenges. With BFF now formally joining this ecosystem, both parties are poised to strengthen platforms for shared learning, innovation, and joint action.

Building an End-to-End Ecosystem of Support

This alliance leverages the partners’ expertise, networks, and deep work on-the ground. Through this partnership, BFF and Acted aim to:

  • Lead a cross-onboarding into the SE Roadmap and 3ZERO House of each other’s membership bodies to accelerate progress towards sustainable development;
  • Provide capacity-building to social enterprises and the partners’ networks on sustainability programs and related topics;
  • Open up platforms that nurture innovation toward the SDGs, especially for underserved areas;
  • Launch the Manuel L. Quezon City Academy - a collaboration between BFF and the Manuel L. Quezon University - as an official 3ZERO space that will be open for 3ZERO House events.

The collaboration underscores the need to build supportive ecosystems for communities to thrive and to address development challenges sustainably.

Co-Creation for Greater Impact

As the partnership unfolds, both BFF and Acted are committed to building bridges between sectors, across borders, and through community. From incubating new models of enterprise to co-hosting learning exchanges and policy dialogues, the collaboration is a step forward in achieving inclusive, scalable, and sustainable development outcomes.

BFF extends its sincere gratitude to Acted and 3ZERO House for taking this shared advocacy further with us. Together, we look forward to co-creating a future where no community is left behind.
